STARR-BOWKETT MEETING TENDER FOR LOANS REDUCED At a special general meeting of the shareholders of »the Hamilton Starr-Bowkett Building Society last night, which was held before the annual meeting, it was decided to reduce the minimum purchase price of loans by tender from £ls per £IOO to £lO per £IOO. The chairman of directors, Mr F. Bullock, presided over a fair attendance of members. The annual report and balance sheet (previously published) were adopted, and the directors retiring by rotation, Messrs A. E. Manning and H. H. Howden, were declared re-elected unopposed. Messrs English and Smith were re-appointed as the society’s auditors. An appropriation of £IOOO by tender was held, the highest tender being £l2 per £IOO. This was accepted, .
