CATHOLIC DANCE The weekly dance held by the Catholic community in the Oddfellows’ Hall. Ngaruawahia, was very well attended. Music was supplied by Matangi’s Orchestra, and Mr J. O’Kane was master o£ ceremonies. The euchre prizes were won by Mrs F. Mills and Mrs V/. Wilson, and a novelty waltz by Miss L. Davies and Mr L. Sewell. Among those present were:—Mesdames O’Kane, F. RED CROSS BENEFIT A jolly bridge afternoon was held in the Red Cross rooms, Ngaruawahia, recently, when the rooms 1 were artistically decorated with ‘ spring flowers. The hostesses were Mesdames W.
Paterson and C. E. Wilson. The prize for the highest score was won by Mrs H. B. Fraser. Those present were:—Mesdames K. Duxfield, R. B. McLaren. H. B. Fraser, F. Hall, J. D. Jackson, J. D. Joy, R. McFarlane. C. E. Moir, W. Abbott, Armstrong, Snodgrass.
