COWS SOMEWHAT EASIER MARKET AT FRANKTON The entry of cows and heifers at the Frankton stock sale today was the largest for some weeks, and the market was slightly easier. Prices a head dropped approximately ss. An average entry of ox, however, sold freely at late rates. Fat sheep were forward in average numbers, and values over the early sales were very firm. In the fat pig section values were a little firmer, baconers making to 92s against 91s last week. Quotations: Heavy prime steers £l3 3s to £l4 ss, medium £ll 4s to £l2 13s, lighter £lO 4s to £11: heavy prime cows and heifers £9 to £9 16s, prime £7 10s to £8 17s 6d, fat £6 5s to £7 ss, light and killable £4 15s to £5 10s. Baconers 71s to 925, porkers 60s to 70s.
