TENNIS CLI'B MEETING The annual meeting of the Walton Tennis Club w r as held in the Walton Hall recently. The election of officers resulted as follows: Patron, Mr W. McLean; president, Mr A. Adams Jnr.; vice-presidents, Messrs A. Wills and F. J. Hilliar; honorary secretary and vice-captain, Mr F. Livingstone Jnr.; treasurer, Mr C. Hooker; captain, Mr T. Whitworth; committee, Mesdames G. Kirk, L. Kirk, F. Hilliar, F. Livingstone, Messrs G. Kirk, G. Adams and A. Wills. The new season will open on October 19. PATRIOTIC 500 EVENING The usual fortnightly card evening was held on Tuesday in the Walton Hall supper-room. The prizewinners were Miss E. Fausett, Mrs C. Fawcett, Mr Orr and Mr J. Portland. During the evening prizes donated by Mr and Mrs Harrison were presented for the highest score for the season, the winners being Mrs C. Fawcett and Mr Armstrong.
