SOCIAL NOTES
Mrs F. Roberts, Masterton, and Miss A. Petersen, Masterton, are visiting Hamilton as the guests of Mrs A. Head. Mrs P. Bremer, ‘'The Narrows,” Tamahere, accompanied by her daughter, is spending a holiday at the Mount, Tauranga. Mrs Jan Smith, Hamilton, is visiting Auckland. Mrs J. McCord, Christchurch, was a recent visitor to Hamilton, where she was the guest ot Mrs A. J. Smith. Miss Truda Mayo, who, on her return from England recently, took up her duties at the Taneatua Dental Clinic, has been transferred to the Raglan Dental Clinic. Miss Olive Howden was the guest of honour, recently, at a kitchen evening given by a number of her friends at the home of Mrs Norman McConnell. Miss Howden was the recipient of many gifts, and the dcnors were thanked by her fiance, Mr Ganley. There was a good attendance of members at the St. Andrew’s Ladies’ Guild afternoon held on Tuesday in the Bible Class Hall, when the president, Mrs Clive Henry, presided and welcomed visitors from the Methodist Ladies' Guilds. A demonstration by Mrs C. Clark of sheaf making, and songs by Mrs Fear were greatly appreciated. A flower competition was won by Mrs Caldwell.
