PETROL FOR LAUNCHES

MONTHLY ALLOCATIONS (By Telegraph.—special to Times) WELLINGTON, Thursday Petrol allowances to be granted to owners of-motor launches during the boating season were announced today by the Minister of Supply, the Hon. D. G. Sullivan. He said the monthly allocations were to be fixed by local oil fuel controllers, who would determine each case on its merits. Maximum allowances in each group would be as follows:—Motor-boats: Waterline length up to and including 25ft., 10 gallons a month; over 25ft to 30 ft., 20 gallons; over 30ft to 35ft., 30 gallons; over 35ft to 40ft., 40 gallons; over 40ft., 50 gallons. Sailing yachts with auxiliary engines and boats using outboard motors; Up to and including three brake horsepower, 3 gallons; over 3 to 8 horsepower, 5 gallons; over 8 to 15 horsepower, 8 gallons; over 15 horsepower, 10 gallons.
