EXCHANGE RESERVE FALLS BANK DEPOSITS LOWER (By Telegraph.—Press Association) WELLINGTON, Thursday The Reserve Bank return for the week ended Monday, October 7, gazetted to-night, has a balancing total £622,094 lower than that shown at the close of the previous week. A fall of £591,707 in the value of the sterling exchange reserve is the chief feature of the assets side, while, of the liabilities, deposits of the trading banks are £620,696 lower.
