FIRE PRECAUTION
DIVIDED STORAGE PLAN (By Telegraph.—Press Association) WELLINGTON, Thursday The necessity for extra precautions for the preservation of essential goods against fire risks, specially in view of the prevailing war conditions, was emphasised by the Minister of Supply, the Hon. D. G. Sullivan, in an interview. The Minister said his attention had recently been called to a plan adopted by several firms. Stocks of all goods which were difficult to replace were not stored in one place, but divided among a number of stores, so that in any event only a portion of the stock was likely to be affected by misadventure. He would strongly recommend this procedure to trade iand industry generally.
