TAUWHARE FUNCTION

WRESTLING CLUB DANCE The Tauwhare Hall was thronged with dancers when the Wrestling Club held an enjoyable evening. Visitors were present from the surrounding districts and a happy time was spent in dancing to music supplied by Clayton’s orchestra, an extra being played by Mr Cresswell. Mr R. Richardson was master of ceremonies. A feature of the evening was a waltzing and jazzing competition which was won by Mr T. McLennan and Mr N. Johns, and Mr E. Collins and partner. A novelty dance was won by Mr L. Windsor and partner, and a competition was won by Mr F. Lye. Among those present were:—Mesdames R. Richardson, cyclamen ro • maine; N. Pope, navy marocain; L.
