FRENCH REQUEST
HALTING CANTON ARMY PLENIPOTENTIARY FROM TOKIO (United Press Asa. —Elec. Tel. Copyright) (Received Sept. 28, 3.15 p.m.) HANOI, Sept. 27 It is officially stated that the French have asked Tokio to send a plenipotentiary to Indo-China to halt the Canton Army’s continued southward advance, which the French Army is not opposing. The French said that General Nishihara failed in his efforts to halt the Army and is now en route to Tokio on board a transport.
