SOUTH AUSTRALIA’S POSITION REDUCTION IN INCOME TAX (United Tress Asn.—'Elec. Tel. Copyright) (Received Sent. 27. 3.15 p.m.) ADELAIDE. Sept. 27 A reduction of 3d in the £ in the income-tax paid by married persons earning less than £SOO a year who have children under 16 years of age is included in the Budget presented in the Assembly by the Premier. Thirty thousand taxpayers will benefit. A deficit of £383. compared with an actual deficit of £162,728 last year, is provided for. BRISBANE. Sept. 27 No extra taxation is provided in the Budget introduced in Parliament by the Treasurer. The Budget aims at a surplus of £5597. The last financial year closed with a surplus of £15,755.
