CHILD KNOCKED DOWN SEVERE INJURIES TO HEAD Severe head injuries were received by a child, Peter Devon Lee, aged 5, son of Mr and Mrs W. S. Lee, of Victoria Street, Hamilton, when he was struck by a motor-car yesterday afternoon. The accident occurred at about 5 p.m. when the child ran out on to the road. He was admitted to the Waikato Hospital and his condition is reported to be not serious. COLLISION WITH VAN ACCIDENT AT TAUPIRI Knocked down by a motor-van about a mile south of Taupiri at 8.30 last night Mr Charles O’Connor received a compound fracture of the leg. He was removed to the Waikato Hospital by a St. John Ambulance. There was drizzling rain at the time. The van driver stopped and summoned assistance.
