SHAW COMEDY

“YOU NEVER CAN TELL’* SUCCESSFUL PRODUCTION George Bernard Shaw’s early comedy. “You Never Can Tell,” was presented again to a full house by the Hamilton Playbox at the Civic Theatre last night. With Mrs Zelda Fahey as producer, the cast handled the lines and situations with confidence and the audience showed its appreciation by many bursts of laughter and applause. The play moved throughout with a good swing as a result of the experience gained on the first night, a pleasing achievement being the rapid changes of scene. The 1940 Playbox production was most successful, and a good sum will be available for the patriotic funds. At the close of the performance the cast and others made to Mrs Fahey the presentation of a book of plays in recognition of her painstaking work as producer, and she was given musical honours
