SMASH-AND-GRAB RAID
JEWELLER’S WINDOW RIFLED (By Telegraph.—Press Association) GREYMOUTH, Friday Watches and rings valued at £250£3OO were stolen in a smash-and-grab raid on the jeweller’s store of John Tennent, Mawhera Quay, early this morning. A plate glass shov> window was smashed sufficiently to allow the insertion of an arm to reach trays containing expensive wristlet watches and signet rings. Cheaper articles of jewellery in the window were not touched.
