ENJOYABLE AFTERNOON
An enjoyable afternoon was given by Mrs J. Wallis at her new home at Te Kawa West where the rooms were gay with bowls of daffodils and Iceland poppies. Mrs Wallis received her guests in a frock of green satin-backed crepe. During the afternoon several competitions were held, the winners being Mrs R. Burton and Mrs T. Gudsell. Among those present were:—Mesdames O. M. Coverdale, C. S. McLean, F. Thomas, R. Burton, J. Henderson, T. Gudsell, W. Berton, R. Mexted, Morehead, T. Harker, W. Neill, T. Chestnut, S. G. Broadbent, T. Pivac, J. Patterson, W. Baxter, K. H. Thorsen, J. Thompson, E. Gardener, T. Hopping and Miss E. Alderson.
