WAIKATO AIRPORT

COMPLETING AGREEMENT The completion of the agreement between the Waikato Airport Board and the various contributing local bodies was approved at a meeting of the Hamilton Borough Council last night when the council decided to meet any cost to the Waikato County Council and the Cambridge Borough Council in excess of their stipulated share. In moving the motion, the Mayor, Mr H. D. Caro, said the council realised the necessity of an airport for Waikato and did not wish the matter to be delayed any further. it was also decided to ascertain th© figure for which the board could secure the portion of Mr J. Steele'* property to complete the area and to advise the Public Works Department that the authority to raise the necessary loan had been obtained.
