SUMMER SHOW
FINAL ARRANGEMENTS FAVOURABLE PROSPECTS Final details of the arrangements for the annual show of the Waikato Agricultural and Pastoral Association to be held at Claudelands on November 1 and 2 were discussed at a meeting of the executive of the association today. The opinion was expressed that the prospects for the coming show were very bright. The preparations of the showgrounds was discussed and it was decfded to hold a working bee at the grounds next Thursday. The president, Mr W. R. J. Franklin, reported that as far as the association was aware, the soldiers at present in camp at the showgrounds would leave a week before the show. Even if circumstances changed so that the men would still be in camp, the association would be able to make suitable arrangements. Mr W. R. J. Franklin presided and also present were Messrs H. J. Finlayson, F. S. Veale, R. A. Hinton, P. H. Clarkin, T. Martin, A. Parkin, R. Hinton, C. Bailey, J. M. McNicol, W. H. Miers, W. T. Luxton, H. Whewell, W. L. Ranstead (secretary).
