CARNIVAL QUEENS

EFFORT TO RAISE £45,000 HAMILTON REPRESENTATION The; three Hamilton district queens in the carnival to help raise the £45,000 Waikato patriotic allocation will be a citizens’ queen, a public service queen and a country queen. This information was given the executive of the Waikato Agricultural and Pastoral Association to-day by Mr C. G. Hunt, one of the joint organisers of the carnival. Mr Hunt said the Dominion effort to raise £1,000,000 was for the relief of distress in London, rehabilitation of soldiers, and general patriotic purposes. The executive formed a committee comprising Messrs P. H. Clarkin, W. L. Ranstead, W. R. J. Franklin and F. S. Veale, to represent the association at a combined meeting to be held shortly.
