Mr G. W. Spencer, of Auckland, is in Hamilton and is at the Hamilton Hotel.

Mr H. G. Somervell, of Hamilton, will leave next week to reside in Papatoetoe.

Dr. J. F. Staton, examiner for me Royal Schools of Music (London), who was to have conducted examinations in Wanganui this week, has been compelled to remain in Hawera on account of illness. The examinations have been postponed.

Mr D. McG. Lawson, assistant sanitary inspector for Hamilton, submited his resignation to the Hamilton Borough Council last night and advised that he had been asked to take up his duties with the Auckland City Council as from October 1.
