FOREGOING CELEBRATIONS SUGGESTION IN AUCKLAND (By Teloaraph.—Pres* Association) WELLINGTON, Wednesday An appeal made to the pupils by the headmaster of the Dominion Road School, Auckland, to forego Guy Fawke’s celebrations this year and devote funds for the celebrations to patriotic purposes has been brought under Lord Galway’s notice by the school committee secretary, who suggests the possibility of making the appeal a national one. Lord Galway has replied that he is arranging for the proposal to be discussed by the National Patriotic Fund Board.
