SUCCESSFUL DANCE
RETURNED SOLDIERS’ ASSN. The Morrinsville branch of the Returned Soldiers’ Association held a most successful dance in the Physical Culture Hall recently, the proceeds of which were handed to the Officer Commanding, Hauraki Regiment, to provide amenities for the boys in the Waiouru camp. A special invitation was tendered to the territorials and men for overseas and khaki was very much in evidence. a true “digger” spirit prevailing.
Splendid music for dancing was provided by the “Four Aces” from Mangateparu and extras were played by Miss Rae Gwillim. Captain E. C. N. Robinson addressed the boys and presented a cup donated by the Morrinsville Returned Soldiers’ As-
scciation to B. Topham, the territorial who had made most progress during the past year. In the absence of B. Topham, who is at present in camp, Quartermaster-Ser-geant T. Hunt received the cup.
