GIFT EVENING
Puketaha School was well filled by residents one evening recently to do honour to Miss Molly McLeod whose wedding takes place shortly. Mrs Len Letford, who was hostess for the evening, was wearing a green floral ensemble and the guest-of-honour wore cherry organza relieved with white. Musical items by Miss Carswell and Mr W. Sharpe, and competitions were followed by dancing, Mrs Carswell supplying the music. Mr Carswell in a brief speech asked the young couple to accept and open a large array of gifts. Mr B. Sexton suitably repliedSupper was served*by the ladies and Auld Lang Syne concluded the happy function.
