MEASLES SPREADS AGAIN
MORE CASES FROM HOPU HOPU AT CLAUDELANDS ALSO In the last few days the measles epidemic among the troops in the Waikato has shown signs of spreading again and during the early part of this week 12 cases have developed at the Hopu Hopu military camp. Several of these cases were detected to-day and the troops were admitted to the emergency annex of the Waikato Hospital at the Hamilton West primary school. One case developed at Claudelands military camp yesterday when one of the troops of the 7th Medium Battery, New Zealand Artillery, was admitted to hospital. This is only the second case at the Claudelands camp since the epidemic developed. There are at present 47 troops in hospital, the majority being from Te Rapa. It is not expected that any further soldiers will be discharged from hospital for a day or two.
