The Hon. H. T. Armstrong, Minister of Housing, was in Hamilton on Saturday. He inspected the State housing scheme garden suburb at Hamilton East before proceeding to Te Awamutu, where he visited the Tokanui Hospital. Later he travelled south on the express for Wellington. Mr Scott Colville, of Auckland, is a visitor to Hamilton. Mr F. W. Doidge, M.P. for Tauranga, was in Hamilton during the week-end. The Rev. M. G. Sullivan, vicar of St. John’s Parish, Te Awamutu, has decided to withdraw his resignation and to continue his ministry in the parish. Mr Sullivan had accepted a charge at Greymouth, and the decision to remain at Te Awamutu was made at the request of the parishioners. Mr H. Prowse, who has been connected with the staff of the Invercargill Borstal Institution for the past eight years, has accepted a position in the North Island and will leave shortly to take up duty at Waikeria in the Waikato district, states the Southland News. While resident in Invercargill Mr Prowse has been prominent in musical and art circles and has organised a number of concerts given by the inmates of the Borstal Institution in the Civic Theatre. Largely through his efforts and enthusiasm the Southland branch of the New Zealand Institute of Public Administration was formed and he has been its secretary since its inception several years ago
