REUNION DANCE
OLD BOYS’ FUNCTION HAPPY TIME SPENT Outstanding success attended the annual reunion dance of the Hamilton High School Old Boys held on Saturday night in the assembly hall, which was thronged with happy dancers. The stage had been banked with masses of rhododendron and spring blooms, and bowls of the same flowers decorated the lounge, which had been arranged in one corner of the hall. Prominent on all sides were shields in red and black, while from the rafters hung large bunches of gaily coloured balloons. In the supper room the tables were attractively arranged with Iceland poppies, daffodils and freesias, large bowls of these flowers also decorated the corridors.
As usual the outstanding feature of the function was its spirit or happy goodfellowship, the renewing of schoolday friendships being seen on all sides, and the fateful hour of 12 o’clock arrived all too soon, bringing with it the conclusion of yet another successful Old Boys’ reunion. The guests were received by the principal, Mr H. D. Tait, and Mrs Tait and by Mr Grenville Ward, president of the association, and Mrs Ward.
