INFANTILE PARALYSIS
ISOLATION OF VIRUS SWEDISH DOCTOR’S REPORT (United Press Asn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) STOCKHOLM, Sept. 19 Dr. Karl Kling, chief of the Swedish State Bacteriological Research Bureau, reports that he has successfully isolated the virus of infantile paralysis. He has concluded that infection in the main spreads indirectly, as with typhoid, dysentery and cholera, and rarely directly as a result of personal contact. The live virus was found in butter made with contaminated water.
