FOUR CASUALTIES
MEN IN EGYPT | b: RESULT OF BOMBING I KILLED, 3 WOUNDED (By Telegraph.—Press Association) WELLINGTON, Thursday The following casualties to the Second New Zealand Expeditionary Force in Egypt have been reported; Private George Richard Osborn, killed as the result ol air bombs. His father is Mr A. W. Osborn, Astley Avenue, New Lynn, Auckland. He came to New Zealand at the age of 16 and was farming in the North Auckland and Putaruru districts. Private Reginald Frederick Buckingham, wounded as the result of air bombs. His mother is Mrs Francis Gunn, Monavale, Cambridge. Private James William Roiall, wounded as the result of air bombs. His wife is Mrs R. A. Roiall, 39 Cooper Street, Grey Lynn, Auckland. Private Richard John Morgan, wounded as the result of air bombs. His brother is Mr J. Morgan, Canada. DOMINION SINGER KILLED HINEMOA ROSIGUR IN RAH) (United Press Asn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) (Received Sept. 19, 2.45 p.m.) LONDON, Sept. 18 The 'noted New Zealand singer, Hinemoa Rosigur, of Auckland, was killed by a bomb in London. The New Zealand High Commissioner, Mr W. J. Jordan attended the funeral. Hinemoa Rosigur was an Auckland soprano and was the first vocalist to win the Melba Scholarship. She left New Zealand for Melbourne in 1934 and after studying there until 1938, where she studied under the leading teachers, she had many London engagements. She sang many times before Royalty and was understudying prominent opera singers when war broke out. She commenced nursing in a hospital and was known as “the singing nurse.” She was aged 27.
