CATHOLIC DANCE
TO AUGMENT FUNDS A well-attended dance was held in the Oddfellows’ Hall, Ngaruawahia, the proceeds being to augment the funds of the Catholic Church. Music was supplied by Mr W. Matangi’s orchestra and Mr J. O’Kane was master of ceremonies. A novelty waltz was won by Mr J. Cairns and Miss D. Friel. Items were given by several members of the Maori Reinforcements. Among those present were:—Mesdames J. O’Kane, M. Fitness, Friel, C. V. Little, J. Robson, J. Wallbank, Prendergast, W. Wilson, F. Warren, Barber, Menzies, Matangi, Barrakat, Powell.
