EPIDEMIC EASING
MEASLES AMONG TROOPS 46 MEN STILL IN HOSPITAL The opinion that the measles epi demic among troops of the third echelon units which are in isolation in the Te Rapa camp is now easing considerably was expressed to-day by the superintendent of the Waikate Hospital, Dr. H. L. Gould. To-day was the first occasion on which onlv one new ease was reported. Another five soldier-patients were discharged lrom the emergency hospital at the new Hamilton Wes* School to-day but there are still 46 men undergoing treatment
These troops are being cared for by the Red Cross Society which is attending to their needs by supplying fruit, cigarettes, reading and writing materials, and other comforts. The society desires to supply the men with cakes as an addition to their menu and will be grateful to any citizens who can assist by leaving c.ixes at the Red Cross Depot for despatch to the hosnital.
Games, cards, cakes, and fruit for the week-ends are also required fothe hospital at the Hopu Hopu camn and donations of these articles will be received at the depot.
