MATAMATA AIRMAN DON CARLSON’S INJURIES 1 special io Times.) MATAMATA, Wednesday Acting Squadron-Leader Don Carlson, formerly of Matamata and an ex-member of the Waikato Aero Club, who is serving with the Royal Air Force, has made a good recovery from serious injuries received as a result of a crash. This advice has been received by Mrs A. Carlson. When he was informed by a member of his flight that the engine of his machine was not working well, Acting Squadron-Leader Carlson took the machine up to test it. The engine stalled in the air and the machine crashed.
