OHAUPO ORPHANS
OFFICIAL VISIT PAID The special meeting of the Ohaupo Orphans’ Club held to welcome to Ohaupo Bro. A. E. Loach (Christchurch), hon. secretary of the New Zealand Kindred Associations, was attended by 90 members and visitors, amongst them being Bro. K. P. Eade (Hamilton) and Bros. R. Hayden and S. Finch, Cambridge. Bro. S. H. Price presided. Selections by the orchestra under Mrs A. Wylie and songs by Mrs C. Wilson, Miss Val. Porter and Bros. K. P. Eade 11. Jenkins and Hayden, E. Lacon (banjo), provided a very fine evening’s programme. Bro. A. E. Loach briefly addressed the meeting and expressed his pleasure at meeting so many of the Ohaupo member and hoped the club would meet with every success. Oldtime dancing concluded the evening and the 1940 sessions.
