ENJOYABLE DANCE The Eureka Hall Society was responsible for an enjoyable and successful dance held in the hall recently. Modern and old-time dancing was enjoyed, the music being supplied by Digger Price’s Orchestra, and the extras were played by Mrs C. Masters. Cards were provided for nondancers, the winners being Mesdames J. McClennan, R. Hinton and K. Johns. A novelty dance was won by Miss S. Lovelock and Mr H. Saward. Mr J. R. Hooper was master of ceremonies. Those present were:—Mesdames Harris, black satin; Townsend, brown floral crepe; Pinfold, black floral satin; C. Masters, black waterwave taffeta; Christofferson, pink georgette and lace; L. Masters, blue shot taffeta; Price, ivory taffeta; Schernack, royal blue taffeta; A. Hinton, shell pink taffeta; R. Hinton, black floral georgette; C. Saward, black georgette; W. Jones, black Chantilly lace; E. Hunter, black georgette; K. Inglis, black and white taffeta; J. McClennan, brown floral crepe; Young, black matalasse; A. Powdriil, black taffeta; K. Johns, black patterned satin; T. Dalziel, brown floral crepe.

Hunter, pink tulle over taffeta; H. Saleman, navy wool georgette; M. Lye, black Chantilly lace; D. Dalziel, apricot taffeta; N. Johns, tartan taffeta; G. Inglis, black taffeta; K. Jones, peacock blue taffeta. Card Evening An enjoyable card evening, organised by the Eureka Ladies’ Social Club, was held in the hall recently. Flag five hundred was played, the winning trio being Mesdames C. Masters, Cresswell and Miss Leatch. The hall competition was won by Mrs Cresswell. Those present were:—Mesdames Harris, Townsend, K. Inglis, Cresswell, Young, Edwards, J. McClennan, R. Hinton, Saward, C. Masters, Larsen and Bargh. Misses G. Inglis and H. Saleman.
