Mr C. A. Barrell, M.P. for Hamilton, returned from Wellington this morning. Mr H. F. Adams is gazetted as deputy-registrar of births and deaths of Maoris at Huntly. Messrs F. Reid, E. G. Smith, D. H. Dyer (Wellington) and W. E. Patterson (Christchurch), are at the Hamilton Hotel. Aircraftsman N. C. Wallace, Royal New Zealand Air Force, has been home in Hamilton on leave. He left for Wellington last night. The Rev. C. Reay, of the Hamilton Baptist Church, will give an address at a Wayside Mission Service in the Auckland Town Hall tomorrow afternoon. Second-Lieutenant J. R. Miller has been drawn from the Retired List and posted to the 4th Company of the National Military Reserve, Tauranga. Dr. K. P. L. MacGregor, of the Waikato Hospital staff, has been appointed to the rank of lieutenant, and has been attached to the Ist Battalion of the 16th Waikato Regiment. Lieutenant A. A. Lockett, 8.D.5., of Cambridge, has relinquished the appointment of Dental Officer, Mobilisation Camp, Papakura, ac--1 cording to a Gazette notice and is j attached to the Royal New Zealand Air Force Station, Hobsonville.
