Trade in Auckland
Another busy week has been experienced by wholesale grocery merchants in Auckland. There is a marked increase in the inquiry for such lines as canned fruit and fish, jelly crystals and egg preserver, indicating the commencement of the summer demand. The recent fine weather has stimulated the inquiry. Notifiable Disease All types of tuberculosis come under the list of notifiable diseases as from October 1 this year. The necessary provisions in this connection were made in the Notifiable Diseases Order, 1940, gazetted last night. Hitherto only the pulmonary type of tuberculosis has been notifiable, but under the new order this has been extended to include all types of the disease.
