Mr C. Clark, chief postmaster, Hamilton, has resumed his duties after his annual leave.
Mr A. C. Caldwell, Hamilton district electrical engineer for the Public Works Department, is visiting Auckland.
Dr. W. E. Henley, physician of the Waikato Hospital, is serving on the special military medical board in the examination of army chest cases
Mr W. G. Park, of Wellington, general secretary of the Public Works Employees’ Medical Association, visited Cambridge yesterday.
Messrs H. Lee (Christchurch), P. G. Wilkins, J. F. Hutchinson, W. Hain, L. K. Harrison, P. Brett (Auckland) and J. Mathias (Pembroke) are at the Hamilton Hotel.
Lieutenant-Colonel F. K. Turnbull has been appointed officer commanding brigade units at Trentham mobilisation camp, according to a Gazette notice, in place of Lieutenant-Colonel L. H. Jardine, who has resumed command of the Taranaki Regiment for intensive training.
The Rev. R. Thornley, accompanied by his wife and infant son, has returned to Auckland after an absence of two and a-half years in England. During that period Mr Thornley worked for the Methodist Church in the East End of London and in Lancashire.
Dr. E. F. Thomson, formerly of New Zealand, who has been in charge of the pathological department of the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney, has been appointed director of the pathology department of the medical branch of the Australian Imperial Force with the rank of major. He is a son of Mr F. Thomson, of Christchurch.
