DUNVEGAN CASTLE
WHAKATANE SURVIVOR (By Telegraph.—special to Times) WHAKATANE, Wednesday Advice has been received by Mr and Mrs A. J. Canning, of King Street, that their son, Mr Maynard Canning, who was a member of the crew of the armed merchant cruiser Dunvegan Castle, recently torpedoed in the Atlantic, was among the survivors. A cablegram from Mr Canning read briefly: “Happy landing.”
