MINER SUCCUMBS

STRUCK BY FALL OF COAL (By TelegrapD.—Press Assocl.tion) DUNEDIN, Wednesday The death occurred in the Balclutha Hospital this afternoon of Mr Thomas Randle Carson, married, aged 41, following injuries received in an accident at the Kaitangata coal mine on Monday. Mr Carson was struck by a fall of stone and coal, receiving a fractured skull and other injuries. He did not regain consciousness. A family of seven children is left.
