BENEFITS FOR SOLDIERS
HAMILTON WOMEN ASSIST REPAIRS TO UNIFORMS The Hamilton Women’s Auxiliary Corps has decided to place its sewing services at the disposal of the soldiers, and has undertaken to mend, sew buttons on uniforms, and darn socks. Any soldier desirous of taking advantage of this service should leave the garments at the rooms of the committee in the Winter Show Buildings. It is also the intention of the corps to provide light luncheons for the soldiers at Claudelands on Tuesdays and Fridays. The public can assist in this scheme by leaving scones, savouries and cakes at the patriotic hut in Garden Place not later than 11.30 a.m. on Tuesdays and Fridays.
