FAREWELL PARTY
ENJOYABLE STAFF FUNCTION Mr L. Darbyshire, who for many years has been on the staff of Messrs J. R. Fow, Ltd., and who is to enter' camp with the Fourth Reinforcements, was tendered an enjoyable farewell party at the firm’s premises on Monday evening. On behalf of the staff, Mr J. Buckley presented the guest-of-honour with a money-belt and JMr J. R. Fow, on behalf of the firm of Messrs J. R. Fow, Ltd., presented Mr Darbyshire with some English banknotes. Mr A. L. Fow also spoke and wished the recipient a speedy return. Miss Cerise Fow presented the guest-of-honour’s mother, Mrs Darbyshire, with a lovely floral shoulder spray. Mrs J. R. Fow was the hostess. Among those present were Mesdames J. Redfern, D. Hare, and A. L. Fow, Misses L. Stewart, J. Blackman, S. Cummins, L. Spiers, D. Gilmore, H. Gilmore, Woolford, Ivy Fow and Norma Fow.
