Mrs John M. Horton, Hamilton, spent the week-end in Auckland. Mrs Terence A. Hawke has left Hamilton to reside in Wellington while her husband is attending the Officers’ Training Camp at Trentham Mrs S. R. Hawkins, Hamilton, leave, by air, tomorrow, for six weeks’ holiday in Sydney. Mrs Humphrey Hall has arrived from Timaru to make her home in Hamilton while her husband is in camp at Ngaruawahia. Miss S. E. Satchell, headmistress of the Waikato Diocesan School for Girls, has returned to Hamilton from a holiday in Christchurch. Miss Mary Beale, who has been on a holiday to the South Island, has returned home Misses A. C. Bowley and H. Halliday, of the Diocesan School staff, have returned from a holiday in Gisborne. Miss Z. Robins has returned to Hamilton from spending the school vacation at Auckland. Miss M. R. McCormick, M.A., of the teaching staff of the Wanganui Girls’ College, has been appointed to the Pukekohe High School and will be leaving about the middle of next term or before. At a meeting of the College Board of Governors it was decided to accept her resignation with regret and to write expressing appreciation of her services to the college. She had been on the staff since 1932. Mrs A. A. McLean, convener of the Patriotic Circle of the National Club Women’s Auxiliary, makes an appeal to members of the club to contribute to the Soldiers’ Overseas Christmas Parcels Appeal. Gifts and donations of money may be left at the club’s office. Led by the Hamilton Pipe Band two hundred and fifty members o£ the Women’s War Service Auxiliary took part in a four-mile route march on Monday evening. Starting at Bledisloe Hall the route followed was through the main streets at Frankton and back to the hall via Victoria Street TAUPIRI Mrs W. Pearson, Wellington, has been the guest of Mrs Pearson. Mrs J. Roberson, Hamilton, is visiting Mrs Allan Scott, Tenfoot. Miss J. Stanley has been visiting her mother, Mrs S. J. Stanley. Mrs L. Carter, who has been the guest of her mother, Mrs R. Grant, has returned to Tuakau Mrs G. W. Wilson has returned from Auckland. Miss J. Cowie has been visiting Mrs T. Eagleson. Mrs S. McDonald, Thames, is the guest of Mrs L. Hyde, Ngaruawahia. Mrs J. D. Bruce visited Mrs F. Nolan, Hamilton, during the weekend.
