MATCH RACE OFF (United Press Asn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) (Received Sept, it, 9 a.m.) SYDNEY. Sept. 11 The proposed /natch race between BeauHvre and Beau Vlte has suddenly been declared off. The committee controlling the Red Cross races on September 2 1 re-considered the matter to-day (beiievedly In consultation with tbe A.J.C.) and an announcement was made to-night. The abandonment of the fixture is due to a desire not to jeopardise tbe prospects or important engagements of either horse at forthcoming spring Tlie committee, in expressing appreciation of the spontaneous offer of Messrs F. 0. Harnett and 15. ,-tewart to provide a match race, announced in lieu thereof f-.nr, would be added to tlm Hill Stakes in whim o is expected Beauli'rc and Beau vite will participate.
