LOST AT SEA

QUANTITY OF CABLE WESTPORT POWER SHORTAGE LAKE LEVEL TOO LOW (By Telegraph.—Press Association) WESTPORT, Monday The Westport Borough Council has been advised that 35 miles of electric cable intended for use in linking up Denniston with Westport has been lost at sea. The cable was expected to arrive very shortly. This loss will mean that Westport must continue to endure black-outs at night unless there is a heavy rainfall, as the water in Lake Rochfort, the present main source of supply of electric current, is still very low.
