Moneyspinner and Rara Avis went well over live furlongs and Royal Message and Llan,jafT impressed while traversing the same ground. Sir Cameron and Bronze Fire went particularly well over -lx furlongs as also did Odtaa, while Kelly did best over a round. _ \una and Brahman reeled off three furlongs In 395. There was not much between them and both worked well, particularly Nuna, who Is engaged In the Avondale Stakes. Golden Bonnet walked round to the three furlong post and came home In 40 2-ss. She will probably race on the second day at Avondale. The maiden Bournemouth occupied 40* Tor a similar task. This three-year-old looks much improved as a result of his trip to Taranaki. King’s F/lgh.t g<*t to rrt* end of the same distance in 41 3-ss. Romani beat Baloslilel over three furlongs In 39 4-ss. Moneyspinner beat Desert Guide by a couple of lengths over five furlongs in 1.6 2-6, the last three In 40 2-ss. Moneyspinner worked with more dash than usual. Rara Avis covered the same distance in 1.6 4-5, the last half-mile in 52 4-ss. He worked very easily and should not take long to lose ills maiden status. Royal Message got the better of Pttll Vaals at the ‘tart or live furlongs but waited on her companion and brat her home by several lengths In 1.7 1-5. the first two rurlongs taking 2-6 2-ss. In a similar task Llandaff took 1.7 3-5, the last three in 39 3-ss. Fit Guineas* Candidate Sir Cameron and Bronze Fire Impressed while running <-lx furlongs in 1.19 4-5 the first three in 3 8 4-ss. They finished clear or Pbaleron, Rex Maitland and Brazilian. Sir Cameron has come on fast oi late and should give a good account of himself in the Avondale Guineas. Odtaa. who Is engaged in the Champion Plate, was running on solidly at the end or six rurlongs winch took 1.20 2-5, beating Master Warden by a good margin Kelly got to the end of a round in 1.49, being assisted over the la*t six furlongs by Rival. The latter distance took 1.21 4-5 and they were together at the finish.
