HINUERA NOTES
CARD EVENING The weekly five hundred evening arranged by the Hinuera Patriotic Committee was held on Saturday when there was a large attendance. Prizes were won by Mrs A. Barron and Mr J. Dawson. YOUNG PEOPLE'S DANCE A jolly dance organised by the Hinuera Young People’s Club was held recently when there was a large attendance. Music was provided by Crabb’s Orchestra and extras were played by Miss A. Fitzell. Novelty dances were won by Miss J. Wilson and partner, and Miss M. Hall and partner. Mr F. Conder was master of ceremonies. Among those present were:—Mesdames A. Hawke and A. Lowry. Misses L. Scelly, M. Corry, L. Dawson, D. Rowe, I. Germann, M. Germann, M. Hawke, I. Lockyer, P. Cook, E. Viggers, W. Viggers, G. Scelly, J. Wilson, A. Wilson, N. Pennell (Matamata), R. Arnold (Piarere), J. Lowry (Matamata), N. Barnes, M. Roigard, M. Hall, I. Harris, A. Fitzell (Walton), B. Tims (Matamata), G. Williams (Waharoa), G. Farrell, E. Farrell, D. Stanley, V. Stanley, B. Pitt and J. Fowler.
