AUSTRALIAN TROOPS

HELP IN LONDON AREA FIGHTING BIG FIRE (United Press Asn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) LONDON, Sept. 7 Australian troops who had been to a theatre in the Elephant and Castle district of London, helped to fight the big fire in that area during the air raid last night. The fire started when a small factory was hit by a bomb. The blaze could be seen from almost any part of London. The Australian troops worked tirelessly with 200 firemen. Families living 100 yards from the factory were forced by the intense heat to leave their homes. A newspaper reporter this morning found the homeless families camped in schools.
