Copyright) I (Received Sept. 7, 3.15 p.m.) BERLIN, Sept. 6 A communique repeats yesterday's ; claims regard the attack by motor torpedo boats on British convoys. 1 It also says that naval units sank 41,000 tons of enemy shipping in .disi tant waters. A U-boat sank armed merchantmen totalling 19,000 tons. German bombers and fighters again bombed aerodromes in South , England hitting buildings and bar- ‘ racks and setting fire to a big oil depot at Thameshaven. The result- ; mg air battles favoured our planes. Bombers last night attacked an I aerodrome at Lincoln, harbours at j Liverpool, Portsmouth, Swansea, and i Sunderland._industrial plants at New- • castle and factories in East London. They also again bombed oil dumps , at Thameshaven. ! The minelaying of British ports j continued. i The British again bombed various l parts of the Reich territory, but did ! not cause notable damage. They hit • one farm-house, in which five people j were killed and two wounded while I goiug to shelter. I The enemy lost 41 planes and six barrage balloons. Sixteen German planes are missing. It is officially announced from San .Jose that Costa Rica has declared the j freezing of credits of German-oc-j cupied nations.
