TE HOE Mrs Thompson presided over a good attendance of members and friends at the monthly meeting of the Te Hoe Women’s Institute which was held in the local hall. A number of soldiers’ hussifs were distributed among the members to be filled. During the social hour visitors from Taupiri were welcomed and the president extended greetings to members who celebrate their birthdays this month. Songs given by Mrs Black were much appreciated and two recitations were given by Miss Le Heron, the musical accompaniment being rendered by Miss Thompson. Hostesses were Mesdames Jones and Le Heron and Miss Le Heron.
