FRENCH MISSION
ON WAY TO SYRIA PRESERVATION OF SECRECY (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) LONDON, Sept. 5 Six special emissaries of the Petain Government have passed through Athens by air on their way to Syria, according to the Athens correspondent of the Times.
The importance of the mission is emphasised by the fact that it is travelling incognito. The strictest measures have been taken to preserve the anonymity of its members.
