ADDINGTON MARKETS FAT CATTLE EASIER j Fat cattle were easier at Addington. Values were £1 to 25s below those of last week. Good beer sold to 47s 6d, best to 555, best steers £l4 5s to £27 2s 6d, others to £l4, best heiTers £l2 to £ 1 ) 7s 6d. others from £7 10s, best cows to £l6 l?s rd. others from £6. Store sheep were slightly lower than last week. Fat sheep values, after a spectacular rise early, settled down to about par. Medium to prime wethers 4is to s?s 6d, others from 325, medium to prime ewes 31s 6d to 52s 6d. others i from 21s. ; Porkers were at the best rates or th< season and averaged 8d to 9d. Baconers averaged 6id to Bd. DAIRIES AT FRANKTON ! Dalgety and Company, Ltd., report harving sold at their weekly Frankton dairy sale on Wednesday as follows:—A smaller yarding than last week, but a good bench of buyers was present and a very satisfactory sale resulted for all classes. Medium Jersey hellers £l2 to £l2 los, inferior and backward heifers £7 10s to £lO ss, good young Jersey-cross cows £l2 to £l4, older cows £8 to £9 15s, ! three-quarter cows £6 10s to £7 ss. ! VALUES AT MATAMATA Dalgety and Company, Ltd., report having held their usual fortnightly sale at Matamata on Wednesday, when a small yarding of sheep and a medium yarding oi cattle came forward. Prices were on a par with recent sales. Store cattle on account of Messrs A. and B. IM. Giddings attracted a good deal of Interest and met keen competition. Dairy heifers were again In demand. The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Limited, report that at tlielr Waihou stock sale on Thursday a fu.l yarding of ail classes of cattle came forward. Values for fat cattle remained on a par with recent sales, while yearling Jersey heiTers and empty two-year-olds were keenly sought at advanced rates. Dairy cattle: A good yarding of dairy cows and heifers was penned, with bidding very keen from a full bench of buyers, and values fully up to last Waihou sale. Pigs: An Increased yarding of fat and store pigs came forward, the Tat entry consisting mainly of porkers, competition ror ! which wa> steady with values fully up to i recent quotations.
