MISUSE ALLEGED
DAIRY OUTPUT FIGURES (By Telegraph.—Special to Times) WHANGAREI, Thursday Acting on advice received from the executive of the Northland Dairy Association, dairy companies in. the Whangarei district will not, in future, supply details of output figures each month, as has previously been the practice. The chairman of the association, Mr E. G. Appleton, said the reasons behind the association’s action were that the output figures were being misused as propaganda against the industry by speakers over the air. They gave the Government, said Mr Appleton, the opportunity of discounting representations made by the industry for a review of its conditions, as the Government alleged that the increase in production showed how well the farmer was doing.
